Describe Yourself:Howdy... I'm a native Montanan, born and raised in the Northwest Corner of the state, up near Glacier National Park. I'm just yer average fellow... hate politics and politicians, love to sing, record and post my music over at www.esnips.com , where a great many others like me post theirs. I've been singing since a kid, just because I enjoy it. Now, that isn't to imply that I'm hot stuff nor plan to be. I visit a LOT of different forums, so Gather isn't my main one. Actually, this is as different a forum as I've ever seen.
I have to admit, right up front, that I'm an equal opportunity hater of politicians of all stripes. I have more than enough hobbies to keep me busy. I love to sing and record and post on karaoke forums. I've sung since a little boy, just for the enjoyment and to share my good feelings, when I can.
I'm pretty complex... so the wife says... and others too. I dropped out of highschool in 68, went into the Army and immediately got my GED, scoring 2nd highest in the group. Would have went to OCS if I were old enough. Glad I didn't!!
I love to explore theories, but am not a complete conspiracy theorist, by any means. I try to look at all sides of an issue, but am set in my ways, with some. I am not a hard core conservative, but my beliefs do lean more to that direction. I also believe people should be treated fairly, regardless of skin pigment. I believe in border security, now. If people wish to come to the US, they should do it legally and assimilate, as millions of others have. One cannot be a citizen of two countries. One cannot demand we change for them.
I am a Scorpio. Sometimes I over-react, sometimes blow my cool, but have worked hard to make my temper bearable.... thank you dear wife. I love you. -
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:I came here for another place to share some of my favorite photos and do a little reading on whatever happens to grab me. If I happen to gain some friends along the way..even better.
I won't spend LOTS of time, at least for now, reading, responding, posting, etc. But, from time to time I'll share some photos.. maybe a song or a poem. I'm looking for friends and people who can honestly look at a subject and be OBJECTIVE, rather than just poo-pooing an idea or theory.

Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:Way too many to list!, The William Johnstone series of Smoke Jensen, Preacher, Cotton, The last Gunfighter & now, the Ashes Series. I could safely say that Bill, is my hero. There are several other authors who wrote realisically of mountain men or cowboys, law and order, fairness, justice. William W. Johnstone, now deceased, is my favorite author. I know his daughter, through the WWJ forums and chat with her, from time to time, via email. She is now continuing her dad's series of books, using his notes, plots and plans for each series. She is her dad, through and through! You'll see WWJ with JA Johnstone on some of the series., If you like hard justice, immediate justice and a sense of fairness for all, you'd love Bill's books. If you don't like shoot-em-up, vengeance, right and wrong... you won't.

All I ask is that whoever reads this, says a short prayer for me. I'm doing the usual FIGHT for Social Security Disability, as much as I hate having to do so., The power of lots of prayer, is tremendous.

Hey there, The Other...I have an incredibly vivid memory of grizzlies, spawning salmon, bald eagles, and me in the same setting--from 30 years ago. Without revealing more (because with you, I bet I don't need to), can you confirm that this spot literally in your neck of the woods still exists, and that this cycle of life panorama is still very much in evidence there?

In a small town just 15 miles north, there are Moose always in town. They are actually pretty danerous, if annoyed. Here in my town, lots of recent reports of Mountain Lions. It's fall. They're looking for food and the young have been chased from the litter, needing to find their own territory. Unfortunately, there are too many and lots of youngsters move into town or nearby areas, much to people's discomfort. Lots of new folks moving in from large cities all over... no understanding of wildlife and it freaks them out very often. LOL.
Gotta go out and work in the yard now... wish I could sit and chat all day. Take care!

This is one of those funny stories I mentioned. This was last month and the young moose kept visiting this one neighborhood, the neighbors got some nice pics of the moose, in broad daylight, it was very tame. Happy Ending could have ended much differently being in the city.

Moose darted and relocated
FITCHBURG — A moose that made several trips into a residential neighborhood in the past week was tranquilized and relocated Tuesday.
Police Capt. Philip J. Kearns Jr. said the environmental police were summoned to help move the female moose, which wandered onto Arlington Street Tuesday morning. The animal had made several visits to the area in recent days.
“The thing kept coming back,” Capt. Kearns said. “Although it wasn’t bothering anything it was a matter of time before it went into traffic.”
So the environmental police were summoned and the animal was tranquilized and relocated.
“It was a nice ending,” Capt. Kearns said.

Hi Dale thank you for that warm welcome. When I get my camera I am going to be taking a lot of pictures of Columbia Falls.
I really want to show people here what the Conrad Mansion looks like.
And how beautiful Woodland park really is.
I look forward to being in your group.

Hiya Dale! =)
Thanks for stopping by and the lovely compliment. It was well received. Sorry I'm jus getting back to you!
Don't worry about missing a few articles...they're always there for you to read at your leisure. Especially if you just need a word of encouragement. (I can be a bit wordy some time!) It's okay...I admit to it!
So, a one legged man tap dancing?! LOL That was truly funny!
Relax, enjoy life...take it easy when you can! Believe it or not, I love oldies and even country music! I kind of have ecclectic tastes in music. I've played the violin for twenty-four years now. It is a comfort. Although, I do miss playing with an orchestra.
Well, I gabbed long enough! lol You take care, and have a blessed and very safe Holiday! Sending blessings your way!
